During the night of 11-12 May 2024, I went out in search of a good location to spot the northern lights. My choice fell on the beach of Breskens with its beautiful lighthouse. The night before, the beach was magically illuminated by the amazing spectacle, but I was not so lucky that night. No northern lights were visible, but I still went home with a card full of beautiful photos'including this one. This is one of the last photo's I took, around 4.30 in the morning. Dawn was slowly becoming visible. I made a slightly more artistic edit of this photo so it almost looks like the aurora was visible after all.
