Brussels just after the rain, November 2022. Puddles of water form on the pavement, beautifully reflecting the surrounding buildings of the Grand Place. A last sliver of sunlight still falls on the south flank of Brussels City Hall. Therefore, it comes out well in the reflection.
Next to it you can see a man looking to the left, his glasses you can just see. He is probably admiring the other buildings on this square, which is also called "the most beautiful square in the world.
This image came about because I happened to be walking across it. I had, as always, my camera with me and was enchanted, as it were, by the reflections in the puddles of water. To make the image extra interesting, I had a silhouette walk through the reflection. So now we see a reverse decisive moment or "moment décisif"!
Also, this image expresses something dreamy and something timeless: the image contains some blue tones that you see both in the sky in the pond, and in the stones.
