Flower still life In the tradition of the seventeenth-century flower still life, here is a less baroque, more modern version with native butterflies, a hummingbird hidden among the leaves and a few more small animals. The plant is a calibrachoa. Thirteen different photographs were used for this work.
Shown are the following small animals: 1 Small fire butterfly / Kleiner Feuerfalter / Cuivré commun; 2 Thistle butterfly / Distelfalter / Belle-dame; 3 Forest bee fly / Schwebfliege sp. / Syrphe sp.; 4 Large veined white / Baumweissling / Gazé; 5 Pearl moth sp. / Perlmutterfalter sp. / Grand nacré; 6 Little fox / Kleiner Fuchs / Petite tortue; 7 Blue-tailed emerald hummingbird / Emerald hummingbird / Emeraude orvert ; 8 Icarus blue / Bläuling / Argus bleu; 9 Queen butterfly / Schwalbenschwanz / Machaon; 10 Day peacock / Tagpfauenauge / Paon-du-jour; 11 Algerian sand lizard / Algerian Zauneidechse / Lézard des sables algerien; 12 Grasshopper sp. / Heuschrekke sp. / Sauterelle sp.
