About the artwork

Canal Grande in Venice, perhaps the most iconic view this enchanting city has to offer. The combination of historic facades, gondolas on the water and the imposing dome of the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute in the background makes this image a classic.

I was in Venice for a few days, traveling especially to photograph there. The city offers endless possibilities: narrow alleys, squares full of life, and of course the water that is everywhere. But this view from the Grand Canal was high on my list.

For this shot, I deliberately chose a moment when the light was soft and the atmosphere calm. The boats moved slowly through the image, and the reflections in the water added depth to the composition. Everything fell into place: the lines of the buildings, the rhythm of the water, and the balance between architecture and movement.

At home, I worked on the photo with attention to colour, contrast and detail. The result is an atmospheric cityscape that captures the charm of Venice, timeless, elegant and full of character.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
