Impression of (presumably) the old port of Dendermonde (around 1975) along the Scheldt in Belgium with a number of cargo ships, two unloading and loading cranes, the old bridge and a block of flats - Pieter Ringoot - oil painting on canvas.
The composition was more important in this painting than the exact depiction of the landscape. So the depiction is probably not entirely historically correct either and partly Pieter's own interpretation.
As there is little photographic material available of this harbour, it is difficult to verify. Do you have more information about the old port of Dendermonde? Feel free to let me know.
