Since 1830, the St Petrus Banden Cemetery has been located in the Archipelbuurt.
From a cultural-historical point of view, the cemetery can be divided into the type of early nineteenth-century cemeteries, which are characterized by a fairly symmetrical and rectilinear design. A centrally placed structure is typical of this type of cemetery: here you will find the chapel with its high dome. The photo was taken from the Kapellaan, outside the cemetery.
