About ‘Chasing the Last Light’ by Ellen Richey Photography

The evening sun glows above the Belgian coast, casting a warm golden light across the waves and the historic Oosterstaketsel in the distance. A lone surfer walks through the shallow water with his board, appearing as a dark silhouette against the glowing sea.

Look closely and you'll notice the delicate reflections of sunlight dancing across the waves, the layers of rolling water and the soft haze surrounding the pier. The circular flare created by the setting sun adds an unexpected, almost dreamlike element to the scene.

The contrast between the dark silhouette, glowing water and warm sky captures a fleeting moment of coastal life just before sunset.

This photograph came from simply being drawn to the beauty of the Belgian coast at sunset. I love noticing ordinary moments and imagining how they could become something special through photography.

As the evening light began to fall across the water, I noticed the surfer walking through the waves with his board. The dark silhouette against the glowing sea immediately caught my attention. I waited for the right moment when the surfer, the waves, the pier and the setting sun came together in one frame.

It was one of those fleeting coastal moments that didn't need to be planned, but it simply to be noticed!

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
