Château de Cheverny.
The Château de Cheverny is a castle south of the village of Cour-Cheverny, not far from the city of Blois on the edge of the Forêt de Cheverny. It is located in the Loire region near the Loire River in central France. It is one of the castles of the Loire.
The castle is very well known to readers of the Tintin comic books by Hergé, because it served as a model for the castle Molensloot from this comic. In it the outer wings are not drawn, but for the rest the castle is almost identical. Since July 2001 there is a permanent exhibition on Tintin.
