Flying buzzard.
The buzzard is a bird of prey in the hawk family. Its scientific name was published as Falco buteo in 1758 by Carl Linnaeus. The buzzard occurs in large parts of Europe and parts of Asia and is predominantly a sedentary bird (a bird that winters in the same area where it breeds). This bird of prey hunts mainly in open terrain for small mammals, amphibians (such as frogs) and small birds, but is also a scavenger on occasion. It nests in trees along forest edges.
