Das Cloud Gate, eine öffentliche Skulptur des britischen Künstlers Anish Kapoor, ist das zentrale Kunstwerk des AT&T-Platzes im Millennium Park von Chicago, Illinois. Die Skulptur wurde zwischen 2004 und 2006 erstellt und wird aufgrund ihrer bohnenartigen Form auch The Bean genannt. Sie wurde aus 168 Edelstahlplatten zusammengeschweißt, ist hochglanzpoliert und hat keine sichtbaren Nähte. Sie misst L × B × H 20 m × 13 m × 10 m (66 ft × 44 ft × 33 ft) und wiegt 99,8 Tonnen.Durch die bogenförmige Hochwölbung der Mitte der Unterseite des etwa wie ein dreiachsiger Ellipsoid geformten Körpers besteht eine durchgängig etwa 3 m hohe Querungsmöglichkeit für Fußgänger. Die Bean ist bei den Besuchern des Parks beliebt für die Aufnahme von verzerrten fotografischen Selbstporträts.

Cloud Gate is a public sculpture by Indian-born British artist Sir Anish Kapoor, that is the centerpiece of AT&T Plaza at Millennium Park in the Loop community area of Chicago, Illinois. The sculpture and AT&T Plaza are located on top of Park Grill, between the Chase Promenade and McCormick Tribune Plaza & Ice Rink. Constructed between 2004 and 2006, the sculpture is nicknamed The Bean because of its shape, a name Kapoor initially disliked, but later grew fond of.
