Hotel in le Conquet, Brittany.
An alienating (pre)image of architecture on rocks on the Brittany coast.
As if time has stood still there.
Not necessarily striking for its beauty or typical French style, but still (to me) immediately striking.
I love misfits, things you don't expect.
I was reminded a bit of the location of an American film from the 1950s. Such a penthouse with large windows overlooking the sea, where many intrigues take place.
The hotel turns out to be called Sante- Barbe, so that comparison was not so crazy....
I took most of the colour out of the photo and limited myself to the blue window reflections.
This way I reduced the distracting elements and created what I think is an interesting image.
