The Dahlia! What a beautiful flower it is. And there are so many colours and varieties. And then also from small to very large. You really feast your eyes in a garden filled with these flowers. They are also very suitable as photo models: the often rhythmically arranged petals lend themselves to very attractive close-ups. But the whimsically shaped petals of other species also make for great macro images. And then, of course, the beautiful flowers themselves are also worth a photo. They also do very well in an overview photo of the garden.
The originally soft pink Dahlia in this photo caught my eye because of the beautifully drawn and shaped petals that are so nicely placed. I enjoyed giving this photo a bluish tint, for a slightly more subtle image.
