This world map is a hand painted watercolour, using the "wet on wet" painting technique. The map has sharp edges and a nice contrast between the colourful land and the white sea.
All colours have a clear link with the climate of the country or continent. Alaska is cold and has a blue colour. Africa is dry and woody and has a yellow-orange and dark green color. South America and Asia are tropical and have a green and dark green color. North America is a mix of green, yellow and orange and Australia is orange with green coastlines.

World maps are so-called 'story starters' and always provide fun and interesting conversations about the beautiful places we visited, both at home and at the office.

The original painting has been photographed in high quality and slightly edited in Photoshop in order to polish away any little sloppiness. This way you can be sure of an eye-catcher of graphic quality.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
