Colourful animal portrait: Leopard

by Christian Ovís

Colourful Animal Portrait: Leopard depicts a leopard’s head amongst colourful leaves and pink flowers. The head is turned slightly to the left, with bright blue eyes and a dark nose. Black spots cover the golden-yellow coat on the forehead and along the cheeks. The muzzle and neck feature light blue-green shading. Round ears with dark inner sides protrude above the head.

The portrait combines recognisable animal details with a decorative floral border. Turquoise and ochre-yellow leaves grow down the right-hand side of the neck, interspersed with small pink flower heads. Dark branches and a few light dots fill the lower section. The background fades from bright blue-green at the top to a deep dark blue behind the muzzle. Fine white whiskers protrude to the sides, giving the face a subtle outline. The warm yellow of the coat contrasts with the cool blue and green all around.

This leopard illustration is ideal as wall art for a living room, children’s bedroom or creative workspace with colourful accents. Golden yellow and pink complement warm accessories, whilst turquoise is echoed in cooler textiles. A neutral wall allows the head and the border of plants to stand out clearly. Upon closer inspection, you can make out the spotted pattern, the fine whiskers and the tiny petals.
