Syria - This photograph shows one of the most iconic views of the ancient city of Palmyra: a seemingly endless row of columns that runs rhythmically through the dusty desert landscape. The filigree capitals, the play of light and shadow, the majestic tranquillity of the site - all this makes this image a visual testimony to a lost civilisation.Palmyra was a melting pot of cultures for centuries: Roman, Persian, Greek, Semitic - all these influences are united in the architecture of this site. The monumental columns, once part of magnificent streets and temple complexes, tell of trade, religion and the pride of a city that became a cultural powerhouse in the middle of the desert.today, after the devastating destruction of recent years, this image has an additional meaning: it shows Palmyra as it was - upright, harmonious, almost timeless. A still life in stone that reminds us to protect the heritage of mankind - for all those who want to feel history, not just see it. A picture with depth - for rooms with character.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
