"Cow do you do" is a work I created over a decade ago
This painting is an almost black-and-white image of two puzzled cows, looking at the viewer.
These cows are inspired by natural reality where cows look at the world with such an inscrutable dreamy gaze. And because cows are an archetypal Dutch rural sight.
The calm colours and graphic black-and-white effect make the artwork a beautiful eye-catcher in most interiors.
The background is not pure white but off-white with different nuances of colour.
Almost all my works are first painted manually often with various techniques (mix media).
In my painting style, I like to choose suggestive multi-colour use and whimsical, sketchy lines.
And then the images are digitally post-processed for reproduction at Werk aan de muur
Art should surprise, inspire and for me, being allowed to make art is not work but oxygen why I live.
With creative greetings Joan
