"Cream-coloured Drill mussel with abstract pink - beige reflection" is a macro photo of a small piece of a drill mussel. This borer mussel lies on a separate substrate, giving you an abstract reflection as the material mirrors, but the texture on it changes the reflection. This gives an abstract painterly effect. The colour of this is some old rose- beige colour, which gives the photo a warm look.
When taking this photo, I chose a small depth of field, which means a small part of the photo is in focus and everything before and behind it gradually fades away. I made this choice to get a sense of depth in the work and this creates a somewhat dreamy atmosphere. If you zoom in on the work you can see this. This picture gives me a summer feeling (associations: beach, sea, coast, "pink sandy beach")
This work on e.g. aluminium or Artframe could hang beautifully in the kitchen, living room, waiting room or just above the bed in the bedroom!
