Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.

About ‘Crystals of salt’ by Jan Tuns

The Canary Island of Fuerteventura is known as the island where it is always windy. This wind causes a lot of splashing water, which also reaches the lava rocks in the hinterland.
This salty water forms pools in the lava rock and evaporates under the influence of the sun.
What then remains are beautiful abstract structures. My passion is photographing abstraction in nature.
With this photo, I want to show that if you look longer you see more. This applies not only to this photo but in general.
Sometimes it takes some effort to find such structures because walking over lava rock does not always come naturally. Then when you are finally rewarded with this image, the effort is quickly forgotten.
The light salt contrasts very nicely with the surrounding dark lava.
The sculpture really invites you to take a longer look because is it actually salt or is it ice. Everyone can let their imagination run wild here.

I was born on Goeree Overflakkee and there are beautiful nature reserves to photograph such as the Kwade Hoek and the Slikken van Flakkee. I love to travel and try to capture both the culture and nature of distant countries photographically.
