I took this picture in Scotland where a colony of thousands of this bird live and breed on the cliffs by the sea. It is a cacophony of different bird sounds when you walk around there which is really fantastic.
To take this picture, I had to lie on my stomach with my camera just over the edge. The warm sunlight gave a beautiful effect on the grass, moss and stones in the foreground. The warm yellow/orange colour gives a nice contrast against the deep dark blue colour of the sea.
The guillemot jumping out of the foreground with its graceful and curious gaze is nicely studied with its beautiful contrasting plumage of brown and white. The eye stripe is also easy to see, and the reflection in its eye adds a nice personal touch.
Hopefully these atmospheric colours will fit nicely into your interior
