This photo was taken as I walked along the cliffs of RSPB Fowlsheugh in Scotland, UK, back to the car. After photographing a huge colony of Razorbills, Kittiwakes and Puffins.
When there was too little light behind the cliffs, I decided to go back to the car. Suddenly I heard this Grass Pipit calling through the wind and saw its breast light up in the sun. From the looks of it, he was enjoying the last self-sufficient rays of the Scottish sun while having to hold on tight for the strong wind that blew off the land.
I really like the soft and warm yellow colours on the right side of the photo that slowly flow into the green/ blue at the bottom left. In addition, the warm sunlight falling on the Grass Pipit is a nice contrast in the green bush. I hope you can find a nice spot for it in your interior
