Dachshund wearing heart-shaped sunglasses by Eva Lee

A cheerful and inviting atmosphere dominates this portrait: a dachshund looks straight into the viewer, adorned with striking red, heart-shaped sunglasses and a colourful bandana. The soft, warm background in shades of pink lends the work a sense of tranquillity and allows the dog’s dark, glossy coat pattern to contrast beautifully with the bright accessory. The composition is a direct close-up, placing the dog’s gaze and nose at the centre and creating a sense of intimacy and personality. Visually, the paint texture stands out: subtle brushstrokes and a slight relief effect suggest artisanal attention to detail and lend depth to the portrait. The combination of playful details and a realistic finish makes the piece both charming and stylish.

This artwork adds warmth and humour to a variety of interiors: as an eye-catcher in an entrance hall, a cheerful touch in the kitchen, or a playful accent in a living room or children’s bedroom. It complements modern and eclectic décor well, but also works surprisingly well in a warm, classic interior, where it brings colour and character. An artwork that enlivens a space and lifts the mood without being overpowering.
