My passion lies in creating artworks with patterns, experimental markings, repetition and colour. My working process is diverse, but usually starts with putting together a colour palette and trying out different printing and painting techniques. I like to work on found surfaces and ephemera, such as used envelopes and discarded book pages that would otherwise be discarded. Using these materials creates unique surfaces to paint and print on, and using collage often produces surprising results. Experimenting with different techniques and materials is an important part of my working process, as I am always looking for new ways to express my creativity. Using found materials gives me the opportunity to create something new out of something that might otherwise have been lost. Creating artworks from discarded materials also gives me a sense of fulfilment because it contributes to sustainability and recycling. By allowing my work to be influenced by my surroundings and by using unexpected materials, I hope that my artworks have a unique, personal feel and evoke a sense of imagination and playfulness in the viewer.
