About ‘Den Haller Watermill’ by Jan Waanders

A characteristic wooden watermill with a red tiled roof and large paddle wheel, located on a stream in the Twente countryside. Farms and trees are visible in the background — a typical village scene that refers to a rich regional history of craftsmanship and water power. The work has been constructed with great attention to detail. The wooden structure of the mill is accurately depicted: the weathered planks, the small windows, the sturdy bridge in the foreground — everything exudes authenticity. The green paddle wheel forms a powerful focal point in the composition. The impasto technique gives the roof a lively texture of red, orange and ochre, while the blue and green tones of the wood contrast beautifully with the surrounding greenery. Jan WaandersJan Waanders is a self-taught artist from Markelo, originally from Goor. He drew a lot from an early age, but it was his working life as a house painter that occupied him for many years. Around the age of forty, he took up art again in earnest – and never looked back. Jan works mainly in oil paint and watercolour, supplemented by pen drawings and mixed media in which he combines ink with oil paint. His oil paintings are characterised by an impressionistic style…

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
