My fascination with flowers continues. In this case, I rendered a beautiful subtle flower of the Oleander in a cubist manner. Inspired by artists like Mondrian and Pablo Picasso, who knew how to give art a whole new meaning combined with the inspiration I get from nature. The clean lines here give a whole new dimension to the flower, powerful and strong.
The beauty of the delicate simplicity of this single flower is touching. 5 leaves with a beautiful heart, which together with a number of other flowers form a huge floral display. The characteristics of nature reflect in flowers, resilient, strong, intensely beautiful and yet so fragile.
We must be careful of this wealth!
I could see this image in a minimalist setting, perhaps as a counterpoint to round organic shapes or as an eye-catcher on a bright wall.
The styles I find fitting are the Scandinavian or the Japandi style. But also in a black and white environment (industrial) this image can give the right accent!
Has it ever been different?
I was always drawing ー as early as primary school, the margin of my notebooks was full of scribbles that didn't have much to do with what was supposed to be there. A lot of nature, especially flora.
