The Voorstraat is a shopping street and dike in the southern Dutch city of Dordrecht. The Voorstraat runs from the Bomkade/Prinsenstraat junction near the Leuvebrug to the east and with a bend towards the north to the Riedijk/Torenstraat. The street with a length of 1.2 km is part of the high-water barrier in southwestern Netherlands. The Voorstraat as a seawall is as high as it was around 1900. The sea dyke can protect against water levels of up to 3.60 m +NAP by installing flood barriers.
