The Sopwith Pup was an English single-seat double-decker fighter aircraft manufactured by Sopwith Aviation Company. The Pup made its maiden flight on 9 February 1916 and was used by the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Naval Air Service from October 1916. The aircraft were used on the Western Front during World War I. They were soon superseded by advancing technology and remained active in combat situations until the end of 1917.
