In my studio, I highlighted the dried fruits of the *Physalis alkekengi*. Their delicate structures, with veins shining through like lacework, exuded an understated beauty. To add layers to the photo, I hung a string of lights behind the fruits. These lights were not recognised as lights, but formed an abstract pattern of soft bokeh, as if the light itself wanted to tell a story.
I used a vintage lens to capture the image. This brought imperfections, but I embraced them instead. The small distortions and dreamy blur enhance the mood of the picture. For me, photography is not about technical perfection, but about the emotion an image manages to evoke.
The *Physalis* and the subtle play of light and bokeh invite stillness. It is a photograph that not only wants to be seen, but also felt.
