A canyon, created by erosion from Navajo Sandstone. Carved and polished by water, wind and mud, this has become an extraordinary sculpture created by Mother Nature. If you have not been there yourself, it is hard to imagine that this is real.
For me, it was a dream come true when I was able to hike through this. While standing outside the canyon gasping hot air, with temperatures over 35 degrees, we descended into the coolness of the canyon.
A hodgepodge of deep shadows, harsh lights and the time you were allowed made photography a huge challenge. A challenge that, of course, I didn't want to shy away from. I had to and would come home with good pictures.
Far too soon we were through the canyon, and back in the scorching heat.
Antelope Canyon, a natural wonder and recommended for everyone!
