The famous Brühl Terrace, also known as the "Balcony of Europe", is located between the Augustus Bridge and the Carola Bridge. The former fortress has been open to the public since 1814 and is an ideal destination for a stroll. The Brühl's Terrace is an approx. 500 metre long terrace promenade in the middle of Dresden's Old Town and is considered one of the most beautiful promenades in Europe.
The Frauenkirche in Dresden is a baroque Evangelical-Lutheran church and the defining monumental building of Dresden's Neumarkt. It is considered a magnificent example of Protestant religious architecture, has one of the largest stone church domes north of the Alps and is one of the largest sandstone buildings in the world. The Dresden Frauenkirche was built from 1726 to 1743 according to a design by George Bähr.
