You can hardly get much more Scottish than in this photo: it is drizzling, clouds hanging low over the landscape, a dilapidated farmhouse and greener than green grass.
I took this picture during our visit to Canna, the smallest of the so-called Small Isles in the Hebrides. Canna stole our hearts. The island is home to a small community of incredibly kind and hospitable people. The weather there was anything but nice, but the grey sky adds nicely to the mood of the picture. So when I saw that dilapidated farmhouse, I knew I wanted to take this picture.
Every time I see this picture, I am back in Canna for a bit. Or in Scotland, because the image is universally Scottish.
