Exuberant colours in oil on canvas.
An impression of Dutch bulb fields in a multitude of colours .
Impressionist style.
The work was painted on pieces of linen, applied over a linen canvas to create more structure.
I was able to use the creases in the canvas for accents of sky, trees and flowers.
This gives a playful effect and gave me pleasure in creating this work.
It looks a bit like floating above the fields; this is because of the slight bird's eye view I used.
As an artist, I try to engage in playful discovery. Letting go, attention, focus, enjoying the process, allowing frustration etc.
Art is a visual language.
Communicating, touching, rubbing, wondering.
Becoming still, no words for a while.
