A lovely painting of an ochre cornfield with a focus on flowers and thistles.
I first painted the sky and the various ochres and browns.
Over that, I used the fan brush to paint the shapes of the flowers and plants.
Not too realistic, just the impression.
I am always inspired by the Impressionists with their sense of atmosphere, colour and light.
This work looks beautiful in any interior and radiates warmth like on a summer's day
As an artist, I try to engage in playful discovery. Letting go, attention, focus, enjoying the process, allowing frustration etc.
Art is a visual language.
Communicating, touching, rubbing, wondering.
Becoming still, no words for a while.
