Polder landscape on a slightly cloudy day at the beginning of spring. A country road leads to the dike near the river Bergsche Maas. Behind the dyke a large ship can just be seen passing by. On the edge of the ditch stands a long row of pollard-willows. Every other tree has just been pruned. The photograph was taken near the Overdiepse Polder, an elongated polder located between the Bergsche Maas and the Oude Maasje in the river clay area near the municipality of Waalwijk in the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant.
