What an atmosphere on the blooming heath. It is early, the fog will soon disappear because of the sun. The flowering heather and a juniper bush catch the first sunlight. This area is called the Drouwenerzand. It lies on the Hondsrug, between Gasselte and Drouwen and is managed by the Drentse Landschap foundation. The area is known for its juniper bushes.
