About "Erfurt Cathedral"

About the artwork

The picture shows a panoramic view of the old town of Erfurt with the striking ensemble of Erfurt Cathedral and the Severi Church in the centre. The Gothic towers rise above the roofs of the city and characterise the silhouette. In the foreground, green treetops frame the motif, while the cityscape stretches to the horizon in the background. The scene is bathed in soft daylight, the sky slightly cloudy - a calm, almost timeless mood.

Erfurt Cathedral, also known as St Mary's Cathedral, is one of the most important buildings in Thuringia. Its origins date back to the 8th century. Together with the neighbouring Severi Church, it forms a unique architectural ensemble on the Domberg - a landmark of the city.

The inspiration for this image was the contrast between historical architecture and a lively city backdrop. The aim was to capture the dignity and presence of the cathedral without depicting it in isolation - but as part of a growing urban fabric.

The atmosphere should be calm, but not static - a moment of contemplation in the midst of everyday life.

In interior design, this work brings a combination of history, architecture and nature into the room. It is particularly suitable for people with a connection to Erfurt or a soft spot for European cityscapes.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
