About the artwork

The picture shows Erfurt's Marktstraße at Christmas time - a central axis of the old town, festively decorated with numerous fairy lights stretching across the street. The historic buildings on either side reflect the city's traditional architecture. A church tower rises in the background, lending depth and orientation to the scene. The street itself appears calm, but traces of light from passing vehicles indicate movement - an effect of the long exposure.

Marktstraße is a historically evolved place that combines trade, encounters and the history of the town. Especially at Christmas time, it unfolds a special atmosphere between everyday life and festive staging.

My inspiration was to capture this moment of calm in the urban space - a contrast to the busy pre-Christmas period. The composition thrives on the interplay of light, perspective and architectural structure.

The picture conveys a quiet, almost meditative mood. It invites you to pause and consciously take in the details of the scene.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
