Source of inspiration Inspired by the murals of tombs and palaces from the New Kingdom (the Amarna and Ramesside periods), combined with a modern illustration style that emphasises vibrant colours. The idea is derived from sacrificial rituals and royal gardens, which were considered a piece of paradise on earth.
General Atmosphere There is an atmosphere of warmth, refinement and abundance in the design. The dominant golden and earthy tones give a sense of authenticity and historical value, while the colours of the flowers and fruit add a vibrancy that brings the painting to life and is refreshing to the eye.
The Message The message is "Continuïteit en Voorspoed". The design emphasises that civilisation is not only about buildings, but is closely related to nature and the appreciation of simple aesthetics such as flowers and fruit. It is a reminder of the roots of love and romance in the oldest civilisations.
Technique The technique used is "Vintage Digitale Illustratie". This technique is reflected in the simulation of the texture of ancient papyrus, the use of fine lines to define the characters (Line Art), and the distribution of soft shadows and rich colour gradations that give depth to the forms and accentuate the shine of the gold.
