The fast flowing river Hoëgne in Belgium has carved out a beautiful valley between the hills. Especially in autumn it looks beautiful with all the colourful tree leaves. There is a walking route through the area with several bridges. The picture was taken from a bridge. A polarization filter has been used.

Karla Leeftink prefers to photograph in the peace and quiet of early mornings with a hint of mysterious mist. The Drentsche-Aa region and the Reest valley are ideal for this with their frequently occurring misty landscapes. She also likes the wide open Wadden Sea landscapes and rough Norwegian fjord landscapes. Standing under the stars she is in her element and impressed by creation. In a frozen puddle and on knots of trees she spontaneously sees abstract works of art…
