About "Fig cactus or disc cactus"

About the artwork

In some countries you stumble over them, the disc cactus (Opuntia). In the Netherlands, you see this cactus mostly in miniature, often with slightly more fine needles, as a houseplant. This large fig cactus, called a Indian fig, stood in Turkey. A beautiful specimen; large, without too much damage, with many branches, full of small new discs and perhaps also the promise of prickly pears. I loved it as soon as I saw it. And when I saw that it stood out beautifully against the blue summer sky, my day could not fail.

This photo is one of my favourite from the series, it looks like the cactus is growing to the sky, with a fresh shiny promise for an even bigger cactus next year. The large discs are full of smaller brilliant green discs full of stimuli that will grow into mature leaves in the coming years. It is nice to see how the amount of spines gets further apart with age, the mature leaf is more resistant to attack than the small, young leaves due to its size.

Seeing this picture, I immediately feel the warmth of the sun. Lovely!

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
