About ‘First Gondola Ride of the Morning’ by Steve Henderson

The crowds aren't up yet.

It is early morning in Venice, Italy, and along the Riva degli Schiavoni, near San Marco Piazza, a series of gondolas are berthed from the night before. Hardly anybody is up and about, but a couple sightseers have launched out with their gondolier onto the lagoon for a quiet, very calm excursion through the waters.

Looking through the poles and across the waters, we see San Giorgio Maggiore, the cathedral and island by the same name, emerging from an early dawn mist. Off to the left, a golden glow from the sun lightly brushes across the water.

Rarely do we see this city -- this busy, bustling, timelessly popular city -- in such a quiet state, but when we do, as we do now, it is well worth walking through the quietness and absorbing the tranquility and serenity of La Serenissima.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
