About ‘First light over Windermere’ by Sander Poppe

On the shores of Windermere, near Ambleside in the English Lake District, the day dawns in complete tranquillity. A wooden jetty stretches out into the lake, flanked by a few sailing boats lying quietly, waiting for a new day. On the opposite shore, the hills stand out against the horizon, whilst the first colours of the sunrise slowly spread across the sky.

The calm water reflects the clouds and the soft morning hues like a natural mirror. This creates an almost still atmosphere in which sky, water and landscape seem to merge seamlessly. The warm colours of the rising sun lend the scene a special depth and allow the beauty of the Lake District to shine through to its fullest.

These are the moments when nature reveals its most serene side. The stillness of the early morning, the soft light and the tranquillity of the lake create a sense of space and wonder. A scene that invites you to pause for a moment and join in the enjoyment of the first light over Windermere.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
