Mũi Né is a coastal town and phường in Vietnam's Bình Thuận province of Đông Nam Bộ region, located on a bay of the South China Sea. Mui Ne is not far from Phan Thiet. The former fishing village turned into a seaside resort after many tourists came to see the solar eclipse of October 24, 1995. Nowadays, there are many hotels, restaurants and cafes, all located along one long road, the hotels on the sea side and the restaurants on the land side.
The beach is popular with kite surfers and windsurfers because of the strong sea breeze. The sand dunes next to the sea create a thermal wind every day, which blows from the sea to the land and increases during the day, especially on sunny days. There are several kite spots. Most spots consist of waves with surf. The tourist season lasts from December to May. The average temperature is 27 degrees. Usually it is warm and dry.
