During a visit to Myanmar you should definitely not skip the Inle Lake. The large lake, situated in the middle of the country, is mainly known for its traditional fishermen, also known as leg rowers. This way of rowing they keep their hands free for their fishing nets. These nets have the shape of a hive. This basket is placed with the large opening downwards in the water, then they pierce the water with a stick and through this the fish swim into the basket. The life of these fishermen takes place mainly on this lake. Entire villages are built on stilts and even their fruit and vegetables are grown in real floating vegetable gardens.
