About ‘Flamingo’ by Andreas Muth-Hegener
We were on a mountain climbing trip to Chile lasting several weeks.
At a salt lake near the Chilean Atacama Desert, I was able to sneak up on this hungry flamingo that was reflected so beautifully in the surface of the water.
This is how the photo was taken.

I have enjoyed taking photographs since I was a child, and my father laid the foundation for this. He gave me a completely analogue camera, a Practica with interchangeable lenses for 35mm film. This sparked the fascination that I still pursue today. My cameras and lenses accompany me on every journey, even to the most remote regions. My focus is almost always on nature.
