This painting was born out of my fascination with balance and elegance in nature. Flamingos have always struck me as both whimsical and dignified—creatures of grace and surreal beauty. I wanted to explore that contrast by capturing a pair of them, not just as animals, but as mirror-like forms in a kind of delicate dance.
The bold coral pinks against the turquoise and seafoam green background were deliberate choices—an emotional contrast, vibrant and soothing at once. I used broad, expressive strokes to echo the fluidity of their movements, allowing the background to remain abstract, almost dreamlike, as if the viewer stumbled into a fleeting moment of quiet connection in a world that exists just beneath the surface.
