Inspired in my own kids, this painting captures the fleeting, weightless magic of childhood. I wanted to freeze a moment of pure joy — the kind that happens when you’re flying forward on a swing, hair brushing your back, dress lifted by the wind, with nothing but sky ahead.
The girl in the yellow dress represents freedom without fear. She’s midair, mid-laugh, mid-dream — held by nothing but two chains and a sense of trust. The soft sky, painted in smooth, almost cloudless strokes, stretches wide to echo the boundless imagination of youth. Below her, the green field is solid and safe, but she’s above it now, suspended between earth and sky.
