About ‘Floral high heels’ by Saskia Schotanus
Every year I sow wild flowers in a small flowerbed at the back of the house.
Whilst sipping a cup of coffee, I sit on my terrace enjoying the splendour of colours in this vast sea of flowers. It is a popular spot for bees, butterflies and little birds that fly by.
I often pick a few to encourage further growth.

Because I like to walk a lot and capture the beauty of nature I got an "old" Nikon D5200 from a hobby photographer friend of mine.
I thought it would be fun to photograph flowers from up close so I quickly bought a macro lens. This gave me a lot of pleasure. Nature is so beautiful.
Later I traded my Nikon in for a new camera. A Sony from the A series for which I also bought a macro lens. Besides photographing nature, I also find it interesting and facinating…
