About the artwork
This artwork of nature brings together several things I love.
Nature and flowers. When I go out in nature I always take my camera with me. But also in the garden or indoors there is always something to photograph, flowers for example in all kinds of colors and shapes.
For this photo I used a gerbera flower. These are beautiful stately flowers that come in different colors and variations.
Color. I like photos with colors. Sometimes bright colors, sometimes soft pastel shades. What I also sometimes use are complementary colors: colors that are opposite each other in the color circle and complement each other nicely. I applied that in this photo: yellow with purple in warm tones.
Creative photography: I often use multiple exposures. So too with this work of art where I mixed two photos: one sharp and one out of focus. This creates a creative and artistic effect with a dreamy and romantic atmosphere.
Also, I did not photograph the flower as a whole. Sometimes different than different is much more fun to do.
In the end, I created three floral artworks (in warm complementary colors) from three different gerbera flowers. This yellow flower is a flower with many wide short petals and a large heart.
