This work is part of a series called "Flower Study". The idea was to digitally edit photos of flowers into an artwork with a Japanese touch. I have been to Japan more than once through my work. During these trips, I got to admire a lot of Japanese art. Especially pen drawings, paintings, but also poetry (haikus) have made a deep impression on me with their simplicity, atmosphere. So did the philosophy of life of these people, the sacrifice of the individual to a higher goal: being part of and feeling responsible for the whole of society. This series is a tribute to this special country.
