Fluid Art No. 163

by GreenART by Hubert Fenzl

Welcome to my world of controlled chance!

Even whilst I was studying art, I was deeply fascinated by Informal Art. This movement breaks with rigid rules and grants the creative process absolute freedom. It is precisely this enthusiasm for experimental design that I carry forward today in my fluid art works.

For me, experimentation is at the heart of it all. I mix my fluid paints myself using my own recipes to influence their flow behaviour and reactions. Nevertheless, the creative process follows the principle of controlled chance: I guide the colours, but the final result remains open and dynamic right up to the very end.

As my works are entirely abstract, I deliberately refrain from using explanatory titles. Instead, my works are numbered. I do not wish to impose any fixed interpretation on you, the viewer. Simply immerse yourself in the colour structures, let your own associations flow, or simply enjoy the interplay of colours and colour forms – the interpretation is entirely up to you.
